The impact of the IINDLELA OVCY programme goes beyond the classroom. Thanks to practical training from RSEC, young learners have been hands-on in their communities, making real improvements to critical community care centres (CCCs).

Here’s a glimpse of what they’ve been up to:

Mamvuka CCC, Limpopo

  • Repaired door locks

  • Painted buildings

  • Installed water taps

  • Maintained gardens

Boikhutso CCC, Ventersdorp, North West

  • Measured and cut glass

  • Repaired broken tiles

IDlebe CCC, KwaZulu-Natal

  • Crack-filling and repainting

  • Prepping and repairing wall surfaces

These efforts show how technical training and social impact go hand in hand, learners are not just gaining employment skills, they’re improving lives right where they live.

Building Brighter Futures, One Project at a Time

Whether it's painting a building or fixing a plumbing issue, these young South Africans are leaving their mark. And in doing so, they’re building the confidence, capability, and courage to carve out their futures.

Stay tuned as the IINDLELA programme continues to evolve, empowering rural youth to lead the charge toward a stronger, more skilled South Africa.
